Cub Pack 248

Hi gang, I just talked to Sherry at Hamlin Beach and we are good to go. We can get there anytime after 11:00 A.M. on Thursday 8/30 and we can stay until 11:00 Sunday A.M. 9/2. If anyone has any unique ideas for activities or meals, let me know. I thought that it could be mostly a family oriented camp out with a few planned, common activities (there is a hoe-down planned Thursday night in one of the camping loop areas) or crafts (anybody know how to boon-doggle?) and maybe one group dinner (maybe stew with biscuits or dumplings, or chili with cornbread, or burgers and dogs on sticks, and one group breakfast). If you are lacking family gear, let the group know. I'm sure that between us all, we can outfit an infantry division.

Cub Pack 248 cubs had plenty to do and see at their Summer Picnic at Black Creek Park on August 10. The Pathfinder Shelter was the perfect setting for the picnic. It was near the playground where the scouts played on swings and slides, near the pond where the scouts fished and fed turtles, and near open fields where they played bocce and soccer. There was, of course, good food provided by Pack 248 and the Pack 248 families. It was a fun night for everyone.

Hello all,

Hope that your summer is going great so far. Our pack picnic is August 10th at Black Creek Park's Pathfinder Shelter. It will start at 5:30 and go until ???. We would like to eat around 6:15. The pack will provide burgers, hots, rolls, drinks, and paper products. We ask that each family bring a dish to pass. We are planning fun activities for the kids. Please e-mail me with your family count so that we make sure that we have enough burgers and hots for all and please let us know what dish you will be bringing. Hi gang, how are you all today? Looks like Hamlin is reluctant to reserve the entire week for us. If we had to choose a 4 day span, would Wednesday thru Saturday be acceptable?
